Exhibitions
The Adelaide Potters’ Club Inc. has an annual exhibition program to inspire creativity, skills development and showcase the members’ best work. Along with the
exhibition program the club offers members two annual awards which are judged by local ceramic artists (non-member).
Adelaide Fringe Festival
The club exhibited pots in the Advertiser Art Exhibition at the very first Adelaide Festival of Arts in February/March1960. The club now hosts an annual exhibition for the Adelaide Fringe Festival. From 2024 a Pug Mill Pty Ltd Award was established to coincide with the festival.
Ikebana
The club has a long association with Ikebana. In 1963 during an Ikebana International event in Adelaide, 85 members watched club member, Mollie Vardon. throwing on the wheel. Since 2014 the SA Teachers of Sogetsu have
exhibited annually at the club with members submitting specific pots for the exhibition arrangements.
Students & Teachers Exhibition
The first Students & Teachers exhibition was held in 2018 and is now an annual event.
South Australian Living Artists
This special exhibition is a celebration of SALA by the club members. From 2014 to 2021, the Clayworks Potters Supplies Pty Ltd Award was presented. Northcote Pottery Supplies acquired Clayworks in 2022, and the award continued in 2023 as the Northcote Pottery Supplies Award.
